New York City Horror Film Festival

Starting on Wednesday, October 18,  and for four consecutive days, you are invited to visit the New York City Independent Horror Film Festival at The Tribeca Film Center (375 Greenwich St.). October 28

Halloween on Haunted Walk

Ghosts, giants, tap-dancing skeletons, and other creatures of fantasy return to haunt the Bronx on October 28 for the 14th annual Halloween on Haunted Walk. The lavishly costumed, larger-than-life creatures will spellbind children and adults of all ages, amid the City’s most beautiful autumn gardens and woodlands. From 12 pm to 3pm.

 

Entry to Halloween on Haunted Walk is $2 for all visitors, plus Garden admission. $8 for adults, $3 for students (with valid ID), $1 for children 2–12. Free for children under 2.

 

October 28

Central Park's Halloween Annual Parade and Pumpkin Sail

The16th Annual Halloween Parade and Pumpin Sail will be held at the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center (inside Central Park at 110th Street, near Fifth Avenue). At 4:00 pm to 7:00pm, join the parade of ghosts and goblins as they march around the Harlem Meer. Watch the flotilla of candle-lit pumpkins while you enjoy seasonal refreshments. Free

 

October 31

Annual Village Halloween Parade

Halloween is celebrated every year by "kids" of all ages. No matter what day of the week, Oct. 31 is a night filled with ghosts, costumes, face paint and candy. This year marks the 32th Annual Village Halloween Parade and it will be held on Thursday, October 33rd starting at 7 pm, on Sixth Ave., from Spring to 22nd St.  A mile-long stage featuring more than 25,000 costumed marchers, hundreds of Halloween characters, giant masks, puppets, marching bands playing music from around the world, stilt walkers, jugglers, break dancers and other street performers participate in the Parade.

 

So show up in your costume and be ready to walk along in front of thousands of spectators. The Parade is expected to last from 7pm to 9pm. For more information go to http://www.halloween-nyc.com/
